FIELD: medicine, surgery. SUBSTANCE: method includes drainage of abdominal cavity. Drains are formed through extraperitoneal incision in iliac region and preperitoneal fat of anterolateral wall of abdomen. Further on, drains are formed in retroperitoneal fat proper after its preliminary separation into layers within limits of healthy tissues. Drains are led out through contra-aperture in lateral region of abdomen over rear axillary line. Omentobursoscopy of pancreas is performed periodically. Open rectroperitoneoscopy of retroperitoneal fat is effected. Sequestrectomy is carried out. Omentobursoscopy is accomplished with use of retractor with system of fiber illumination. EFFECT: provided adequate draining of fat of retroperitoneal space. 10 ex
