FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biologically active preparations based on plant raw and can be used in pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry and as food addition for curative-prophylactic aims. Biologically active preparation based on plant raw and containing extract obtained by treatment of plant raw with extractant containing soluble salts of metals Ba, Sn, Co, Cr, V, Zn and Fe has additionally soluble salts of selenium (Se), manganese (Mn) and copper (Cu) at the following ratio of components (mg/kg of plant raw): Mn 22; Ba 13; Sn 0.6; Co 4.0; Cr 1.0; V 1.8; Zn 700; Fe 1030; Se 1.0 and Cu 1.0. Alfalfa or alfalfa hay is used as the plant raw source. The method proposed of preparing the preparation provides immunomodulating properties at maximal retention of useful substances and vitamin E showing high content in alfalfa.
