METHOD OF CORRECTION OF HYPERGLYCAEMIA IN PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS WITH SUPPURATIVE-INFLAMMATORY DISEASES Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, endocrinology, suppurative surgery. SUBSTANCE: conventional schedule of treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with suppurative-inflammation diseases by fractional insulin injections involves treatment with oxytocin that is administrated by parenteral route at the dose 5 IU, twice per 24 h. In intraarterial infusions oxytocin is administrated at the dose 5 IU, twice per 24 h and in other cases oxytocin is administrated by intramuscular route at the dose 5 IU, twice per 24 h. Method provides a possibility of correction of high level of glycaemia, stabilization of diabetes mellitus course and decrease of exogenous insulin dose that shows favorable effect on suppurative-inflammation process course.
