FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing gastrointestinal tract to electric signals of pulse shape emitted by electrostimulation device. Electromagnetic radiation in optic bandwidth is additionally applied in therapeutically active dose in pulsating mode of less than 1 Hz frequency. To inhibit immune system organs activity, sequential exposure to blue, green and red light is selected. To achieve its stimulation, irradiation is carried out in red, green, blue light sequence. Electrostimulation device has oval casing which part is composed of electrodes, power supply source, generator with pulse package shapers. The device has one electromagnetic radiation supply source operating in optic bandwidth and pulse package phase synchronizing unit. Unit input is connected to generator output and its outputs are connected to controlling inputs of the shapers. Output of one of the shapers is connected to one of the electrodes. The other electrode is connected to the common wire of the circuit in the first version and to a separate shaper in the second one. Radiation source is manufactured from optically transparent material. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment due to direct exposure of immunocompetent organs to light. 22 cl, 3 dwg
