FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed piston machine has at least one cylinder accommodating pistons moving opposite to each other and forming common combustion chamber, and timing gear made in form of scavenging and fuel injection ports. Motion conversion mechanisms coupled with pistons are made in from of crank and connecting rod mechanism. Each piston is connected through carrier and connecting rod with crankshaft provided with flywheel. Flywheels are connected by external gear train, left to right flywheel gear ratio being 2:1. Fuel injection port is located in top dead center of both pistons, and scavenging ports are found in middle between top and bottom dead centers of left-hand piston. Timing cycle is related of left-hand piston in cylinder walls of which forced scavenging ports are provided. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of piston machine. 5 dwg
