FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in propulsion engineering. ICE comprises four hollow cylinders (1) with pistons (2) fitted therein and aligned therewith and furnished with fresh working fluid inlet to cylinder (1) and used working fluid outlet. Cylinders (1) are arranged in pairs with common axis and opposed. Axes of cylinder pairs (1) are located in common plane to intersect at right angle. Cylinder pistons (2) are arranged between cylinders (1) of each pair. Engine has four shafts (6) arranged perpendicular to cylinder (1) plane to revolve therein. Cylinders (1) reciprocate along axis of cylinder pairs. Every shaft (6) is articulated with appropriate cylinders (1) by crank gears to convert reciprocation of cylinders in rotation of shafts (6). When cylinders (1) of one pair come close to each other cylinders (1) of the other pair move away from each other.
EFFECT: better balance, decreased noise and vibration.
