SUBSTANCE: grain drying unit has upper and lower hoppers positioned above and below drying zone, drying and cooling shafts provided with splitters made in the form of regular tetrahedral pyramids oriented upward with their apexes. Funnels in drying and cooling shafts, upper and lower boxes of lower hopper are made in the form of regular truncated tetrahedral pyramid with larger end oriented upward. Splitters in drying and cooling shafts are positioned at an angle of 45 deg with respect to splitter in upper hopper. Apparatus has grain softening section with cells of size twice the size of cells in upper hopper. EFFECT: improved quality of grain by increased uniformity of drying and reduced power consumption. 2 cl, 15 dwg
