FIELD: transport engineering; crawler vehicle brakes. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has steering clutch control levers 2 coupled with bands of left-hand and right-hand planetary brakes by tie- rods 3, 4 and 5, 6. At no control actions, brake bands transmit torque provided by action of spring mounted in housing 7. Spring force is conveyed through bell cranks 15, 16 and tie-rods 4, 6. Device has interlocking mechanism installed in housing 7. Interlocking mechanism provides locking of spring mounted in housing 7 in position in which no torque is transmitted to planetary brake pulleys. Such possibility is provided at simultaneous action onto both steering clutch control levers 2. Force from spring is closed on housing 7 and does not act onto bell cranks 15 and 16. EFFECT: facilitated control of vehicle owing to locking of spring length at simultaneous action onto steering clutch control levers. 2 cl, 9 dwg
