FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method particularly relates to supporting of mine workings and can be used in extraction of minerals by underground procedure. According to method, holes are drilled in roof of workings with tapered widening in head of each hole. Anchors are installed in drilled holes with tail-pieces which are connected by flexible links. Flexible links are tensioned by means of anchors. Drilled holes are located at points of crossing of axes which are parallel to sides of workings and which divide working over width "B" into six equal parts and circumferences with diameter of "0.4B" described from centers located at points of crossing of axes with even ordinal numbers and lines which are perpendicular to sides of working. Distance between aforesaid lines is selected to be equal to "0.6B". Tail-pieces of anchors are made in the form of loops which are made by means of coupled anchors. Used in function of flexible links is rope which is inserted through loops. Ends of rope are secured in drilled holes. Application of aforesaid method improves protection of mine workings, cuts material and labour inputs in supporting or workings. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 dwg
