FIELD: mechanical engineering; cleaning lubricants-and-coolants and other technological fluids from mechanical admixtures. SUBSTANCE: magnetic separator is provided with permanent magnets made in form of segments of toroidal surfaces of revolution. End faces of permanent magnets are connected forming toroidal surfaces of revolution which are embraced by casings mounted on magnetic separator shaft at clearance between adjacent toroidal surfaces and casings embracing them. Toroidal surfaces of revolution which consist of permanent magnets may be fully or partially embraced by casing. Magnetic separator shaft may be hollow with through slots for discharge of cleaned fluid. Separating nonmagnetic gaskets may be placed on magnetic separator shaft between casings embracing the toroidal surfaces of revolution consisting of permanent magnets. Magnetic separator scraper may adjoin the casings embracing the toroidal surfaces of revolution consisting of permanent magnets or may adjoin casings and separating gaskets. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 7 cl, 8 dwg
