MACHINE TOOL FOR STRETCH BENDING Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: plastic metal working, particularly machine tools for stretch bending of products made of bent shapes. SUBSTANCE: machine tool includes standard set of mechanisms, namely: mechanism for rotating disc chucks mounted in carriages, mechanism for returning carriages and mechanism for preliminary stretching. Plates are mounted on carriages for securing to them bending formers, clamps and other members of bending fitting. There are several contact zones on one face of first plate. Each zone corresponds to thrust member screwed on to reciprocal face of second plate. Working surface T of contact zones has curvature radius R with center on rotation axis of disc chuck supporting plate. Contact surface S of each thrust member has curvature radius (0.1-0.2)R necessary for optimal mutual engagement of zones and members. EFFECT: enlarged possibility for varying operation modes of bending press having simplified design. 2 cl, 4 dwg
