MACHINE TOOL FOR TENSION BENDING Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: plastic metal working, namely machine tools for tension bending of three-dimensional shapes at realizing additional operations during manufacturing process such as punching, cutting, forging, breaking through tags and so on. SUBSTANCE: machine tool includes housing supporting two movable carriages. Each carriage has rotary disc chucks provided with cams engaging with tension mechanism. Plates rocking on axles relative to horizontal plane are secured to disc chucks. Rocking value of each plate is limited by inclination cams over which rollers roll at rotation of disc chucks in bending process. Rollers are forced to cams by means of hydraulic cylinders. Bending equipment including clamping units, bending formers and additional units for secondary operations are mounted on said plates. Working members of additional units have female dies and punches arranged in cutouts and windows of formers in such a way that they are flush-mounted relative to shaping surface of bending former with gap equal to (1-4)S, where S - thickness of metal of initial blank. EFFECT: possibility of combining two operations - bending and punching - for making products of enhanced quality. 2 cl, 7 dwg
