FIELD: metallurgy and chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to briquettes for ore-thermal production of ferroalloys, cast iron, and steel. Mix contains: 15-65 % of solid gas-treatment residue from ore-thermal furnaces for production of ferroalloys containing at least 20% of silicon oxide or chromium oxide or manganese oxide or their mixtures; 5-15% of binding agent selected from group including lignosulfonate, molasses, coal tar, mixture of exhausted motor oil with exhausted activated sludge from sewage treatment or with , lignosulfonate, mixture of lignosulfonate with oil sludge or with exhausted activated sludge, lignosulfonate-lime mixture; and coke or coal fines (the balance). Briquetting is carried out at pressure at least 1 MPa and briquettes are then heat treated at temperature from 100 to 900 C for 5 to 50 min.
