FODDER DISPENSER-GRINDER Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural production, in particular, grinding of stalked plants compressed into rectangular or cylindrical bales. SUBSTANCE: fodder dispenser-grinder has hopper with feed conveyor positioned in its bottom section, charging mechanism positioned in its rear section, and unloading conveyor disposed in its front section. Feed conveyor drive shaft pin is directed toward separating device, which has rotors disposed within housing and mounted on vertical pins. Rotors carry grinding members. Adjacent grinding members are arranged in overlapped position. Rotors are positioned so that space between their vertical pins and feed conveyor drive shaft pin does not exceed size of grinding member with the smallest length. Shear knives are positioned in housing of separating device through the height of each tier. Baffles are positioned on upper disks above rotors for preventing bridging of ground material. Settling chamber is disposed at hopper front wall and unloading conveyor is positioned within settling chamber. Settling chamber is equipped with recirculation excessive pressure-relief channel. Shields are pivotally attached to upper and lower edges of settling chamber windows. Position of shields in vertical plane and one with respect to the other may be regulated. Auxiliary conveyor is positioned above housing of separating device so as to rotate relative to drive shaft pin.
