FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: root processing line has charging device 1, root cleaner 2 and root grinder-doser 3, which are interconnected through conveyors. Root cleaner 2 is formed as conveying auger positioned within cylindrical housing. Root grinder-doser 3 has charging hopper with side wall inclined relative to vertical plane at an angle not exceeding 41.5 deg to eliminate dependence of line capacity on root level in hopper. Line is further provided with rotors and U-shaped cutting members fixed to rotors and operating as scrapers. Such construction allows juice loss to be reduced and necessity for root regrinding to be eliminated. EFFECT: increased efficiency, provision for producing high-quality feeds, decreased loss of raw material and reduced power consumption. 3 cl, 3 dwg
