FIELD: solid fuel gasification. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gasification of peat, peat briquettes, firewood, wood wastes, vegetable remains, household and industrial wastes in installations for heating a variety of rooms, water, and air, for drying wet materials, grain, fuels, etc. Gas generator comprises lined casing with furnace gate, fuel hopper with charging port, ash chamber, and vaulted splitter. Ash chamber has gate for discharging ashes and fresh air-supply and -control device. Vaulted splitter is mounted inside the casing. Below, there are gas-removal hole with flue tube inside it and vertically displaceable fire-grate. Flue tube has secondary air-supply and -control device. Gas generator is provided with adjustable vanes mounted inside the casing. Vane pivot shafts are oriented in parallel with splitter. The latter is provided with vertical plate in its upper part. Adjustable vanes, splitter, and vertical plate are equipped with ties. EFFECT: extended versatility of installation and improved its reliability. 2 cl, 3 dwg
