FIELD: construction and mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this is intended for internal cleaning of pipelines of various purpose from depositions such as incrustations, plugs, and also of pipes in water-supply systems and sewerage systems in benefication plants, storm-water sewage in municipal activities, etc. According to method, destruction of sedimentations is achieved by impact pulses which are inflicted in tangential direction. Back-blow occurred in this case is neutralized by tangential forces applied to working member. Device for realization of aforesaid method has working member with replaceable tools, power-drive unit, and component which delivers energy-carrier to power-drive unit and to work face. Cutting member is made in the form of cutting edge which is located in parallel to longitudinal axis of pipe being cleaned. Power-drive unit is of percussive action with reciprocating striker. Component, which delivers energy-carrier, is made in the form of hoses. In addition, mounted on hoses are cylindrical bushes, which are not connected to each other. Bushes can be made of wood or polymeric material and also they can have spaces. According to another version, cutting edge of cutting member can be inclined with respect to longitudinal axis and lateral axis of device. Application of aforesaid method and device ensures high quality of cleaning internal pipe surface. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 14 cl, 11 dwg
