FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: pneumatic mechanism relates to percussive-action pneumatic devices which are used for trenchless laying of pipelines. Pneumatic percussive-action mechanism has following components: body with bore in its front part, striker located inside body and creating space in front of it in combination with body and having elongated head with longitudinal slot and tail-piece, sleeve which embraces tail-piece and creates working stroke chamber in combination with striker, feeding and exhaust passages, idle stroke chamber. Elongated head of striker is provided with n slots which are open into working stroke chamber. These slots can be periodically connected through bore in front part of body with space ahead of striker. This space is permanently connected with exhaust passage. Idle stroke chamber is created from circular chamber which embraces striker tail-piece, and end chamber located at end of tail-piece. They are interconnected and can be periodically connected with idle stroke chamber which is formed by steps of tail-piece and sleeve and which is permanently connected with feeding passage. Aforesaid embodiment of pneumatic percussive-action mechanism ensures higher striking power and more reliable functioning. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
