FIELD: reworking and utilization of domestic and industrial wastes by fire method. SUBSTANCE: furnace includes chamber, fire grate and oxidizer supply unit. Plates of fire grate are located in stepwise pattern at spaced relation; upper step partially overlaps lower step horizontally. Oxidizer supply unit is made in form of blast duct located under fire grate over its entire length. Vertical partitions are mounted between upper wall of duct and each plate of fire grate forming partially closed sections. Each section is communicated with furnace chamber through slotted outlet directed in way of motion of wastes. Cavity of duct is communicated with cavity of each section by means of holes made in rows along duct. Dampers with holes are fitted along each row of holes for motion relative to upper wall of duct on side of its cavity. EFFECT: avoidance of sticking of holes in fire grate; possibility of control of amount of oxidizer fed to various zones of furnace hearth depending on degree of burning wastes. 3 dwg
