FIELD: surgical instruments. SUBSTANCE: dilators may be used as dilators or retractors and in other fields of medicine, for instance, as mouth dilator in diagnostic examinations or procedures. The disposable medical dilator has support for location and/or fixation of patient's tissues and tubular supporting body with flange on one end and with skirting, on the other end. Support for location and/or fixation of tissues is formed by side member and part of side member of skirting which is located flush with side member of supporting body. Skirting is made in the form of eccentric additional flange or in the form of additional flange with part of side member in the form of shaped hollow. Tubular supporting body of dilator is made of polymer or material of vegetable origin. Internal and external surfaces of body are similar or different in shape. The dilator has hermetic packing made preferably of transparent material. EFFECT: improved interaction with tissues, for instance, operation wound, or tissues of organs in examinations and procedures. 5 cl, 5 dwg
