FIELD: entertainment industry, in particular, controlling of billiard table surface for absence of inclined portions. SUBSTANCE: method involves, according to first version, rolling at least one billiard ball initially along long and/or short sides of at least one inclined surface, with following measuring of distance passed by billiard ball upon collision with opposite side, rolling back and stopping of this ball, or distance between site of actual collision of billiard ball with side and/or site of probable impact against side in case of rectilinear rolling of ball. According to second version, method involves initial throwing of at least one billiard ball onto playing field of billiard table, with following measuring of distance from ball collision site to stop site upon collision of billiard ball with playing field, jumping back and stopping.
