FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic tensioning device for tensioning coupler with threaded joint has cylindrical body fitted with axle, the first axial end designed to thrust into object and the second axial end. Catching member is mounted inside body where certain space is formed. Several pistons are positioned axially in this space at a definite distance from one another, thus forming several chambers in this space. Channels are provided in device for working fluid delivery to chambers for application of force to body and catching member. As a result, when body thrusts into object in one axial direction catching member moves in opposite direction and thus draws threaded coupler axially in opposite axial direction. External size of chambers decreases radially in direction from the second axial end to the first axial end of body. EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions. 11 cl, 3 dwg
