FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to piston pumps driven by revolving cam. Pump assy comprises cam and piston. Cam revolves in the plane around eccentric axle and has peripheral sidewall. Piston engages with the cam peripheral sidewall and displaces in piston axis located in cam plane. Piston axis is parallel but not aligned with base line perpendicular to eccentric axle and crossing or. Cam applies maximum force to the piston when piston axis is perpendicular to peripheral sidewall where roller driven by the cam engages with peripheral sidewall while maximum force applied by cam to piston acting, in fact, on one line with piston axis.
EFFECT: decreased wear and high efficiency of pumping owing to minimised useless torque.
