FIELD: equipment for determining operational reliability of ropes for lifting devices. SUBSTANCE: diagnosis is based on connecting two types of fibers with different parameters into single rope yarn 18. One fiber, for instance fiber of aromatic polyamide, has high strength at sign-variable cycle and high specific tensile strength. Other fiber, such as conducting charcoal fiber 19, has increased fragility. Both fibers are twisted into single rope yarn 18. During operation, indicative charcoal fiber 19 is torn and broken earlier than carrying aromatic polyamide fibers of yarn 18 of rope 5 due to excessive tension or increased number of sign-variable bends in each case. Number of broken indicative charcoal fibers 19 is determined by means of voltage source. Residual carrying capacity of rope 5 is considered guaranteed only is case certain percentage of indicative charcoal fibers 19 are acknowledged as unfit. Lifting device is then moved to predetermined stoppage position and switched off. EFFECT: increased efficiency and reliable diagnosis of rope for strength and simplified construction. 10 cl, 7 dwg
