FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: relates to building of reinforced earth structures. Embankment has body erected of layers of reinforced compacted earth. Body of embankment is variable in height over its length which is reduced according to its location further away from end section of artificial structure. Embankment has at least one vertical slope over its entire length or at least one slope with gradually changing steepness equal to 1; 1.5. Embankment body at least in part of its length is made as curvilinear in plan with variable radius of curvature which is minimal in zone of most tight in plane section of embankment route. Description of invention brings forth various versions of embodiment of slopes and reinforcement. Realization of aforesaid invention allows for cutting materials input and construction periods. in addition, embankment can be located in close quarters. Cost saving is achieved due to simplification of operations and possibility of utilizing unconditioned earth. Environment control conditions are also improved. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 5 cl, 9 dwg
