FIELD: fishing equipment. SUBSTANCE: sinker has body with longitudinal opening connected to longitudinal slot. One of slot surfaces is extending tangentially of longitudinal opening. Longitudinal slot may have parallel surfaces, spherical surfaces, surfaces inclined at an acute angle one with respect to the other, with acute angle being directed toward longitudinal opening. Longitudinal slot surfaces may be made wavy. Such construction allows fish line and flexible material to be readily introduced into sinker opening.
