FIELD: lance sealing devices in opening for its introduction into vessel under pressure. SUBSTANCE: device includes external body whose one end wall is facing shaft furnace, and the other wall is opposite to it, and each end wall is provided with axial through opening for lance and sealing unit located in external body. Sealing unit has internal body and at least one packing and at least one ring-shaped piston located coaxially to device axis. In this case, packing in direction of piston action is located between piston and one of end walls of internal body. When piston is actuated packing is pressed in axial direction to one of body end walls and radially expanded to enclose lance passed through packing and to seal it. EFFECT: compensation both of radial clearance resulting from changes of lance cross-section and displacement of lance axis relative to inlet of introduction. 16 cl, 8 dwg
