FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, shaft furnace charging equipment. SUBSTANCE: charging device for shaft furnace with lower conical part has lower locking mechanisms allowing upper hopper to be hermetically sealed from lower hopper and charged material to be reliably retained. When in open position, lower locking mechanisms open central passage for material flow, which has compact shape and is focused. Lower cone positioning mechanisms are arranged such that they do not hinder material flow focusing. Deflecting surface is positioned above lower cone for distributing focused material flow at both sides of axis, while axial symmetry of material flow being kept. Such construction improves symmetry of charging lower hopper with burden and minimizes adverse action of asymmetrical charging. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation by uniform charging of burden. 14 cl, 9 dwg
