SUBSTANCE: heat engine with external supply of heat has at least one expansion cylinder 1 and one compression cylinder 2 accommodating pistons 3, 4, respectively, coupled with motion conversion mechanism in form of oblique plate 5 with engine shaft 6. Expansion mainline 7 with heater 8 is connected with intake member 9 of expansion cylinder 1 and with exhaust member 10 of compression cylinder 2. Compression mainline 11 with cooler 12 is connected with exhaust member 13 of expansion cylinder 1 and with intake member 14 of compression cylinder 2. Intake member 13 of expansion cylinder 1 and intake member 14 of compression cylinder 2 are made in pistons 3 and 4. Control mechanisms of intake members 9, 14 and exhaust members 13, 10 of expansion cylinder 1 and compression cylinder 2 are made in form of electromagnets 15, 16, 17, and 18, respectively. Heat accumulator 19 is connected to heater 8. Expansion cylinder 1 and compression cylinder 2 are arranged in turn.
