FIELD: technical cybernetics, computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves continuous monitoring of pressure, temperature and usage of components of fuel that enter engine and rotation of shaft of turbine pump after engine reaches main traction stage mode. In addition, method involves detection of value of cavitation pressure tolerance, and continuous comparison of resulted value to tolerant level. When cavitation pressure tolerance drops below threshold, method involves regulation of through section of regulation unit, switching engine to mode at which pressure that corresponds to beginning of cavitation break of pump is decreased and cavitation tolerance of engine is increased. Stability of engine to side and cavitation oscillations in pressure is increased by means of analysis of frequency and amplitude of pressure oscillations at entrance to engine. If oscillations develop (their amplitude is increased), method involves setting through section alteration of regulation unit towards operation mode that provides quenching of self-oscillations. EFFECT: increased efficiency due to decreased pressure in rocket tanks and possibility of engine operation upon faults in supply and temperature-keeping systems. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl
