FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in varying flow section of components adjusting supercharging gas flow rate depending upon turbo pump pressure cavitation allowance. Note here that, additionally, fuel component pressure at turbo pump outlet is measured. Turbo pump reduced head is determined and recorded after unit reaches main operating condition. Turbo pump head variation is controlled in operation, and, if it falls beyond recorded value, reduced pressure cavitation allowance is considered to occur. Thereafter, flow section of control component is increased by increasing turbo pump inlet pressure to allow required pump cavitation pressure allowance and faultless operation.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of control and improved operating performances of fluid-propellant engine.
