FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: power supply has DC voltage supply connected to power circuits of two-wire sensor through input circuit of current isolating unit; inserted in output circuit of the latter are output leads that can be used to pick off information beyond explosion-hazard zone. Power circuits of two-wire sensor have fuses, ballast and current- limiting resistors, and shunt circuit with voltage regulator diodes. Power supply incorporates overcurrent protective gear responding to short circuits in power circuits of two-wire sensor and overvoltage protective gear operating in case of failure of DC voltage supply; provision is also made to eliminate ground faults and to ensure high explosion safety standards.
