FIELD: transport engineering; vehicle fuel systems. SUBSTANCE: vehicle fuel tank has hermetically sealed metal housing with corrosion-proof electroplating. Fuel tank is provided with holes with flanges. Operating branch pipes are fitted in these holes coaxially and with clearance. Operating branch pipes have walls and end faces. These branch pipes are secured in housing by welding or soldering. Edge of branch pipe wall in area of at least one of its end faces is curved inward the branch pipe to contour thus forming a chamber. EFFECT: increased service life of vehicle fuel tank. 4 dwg
