FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: transfer case has simple planetary mechanism and shifter clutches intercoupled by one shifter rod. Shifter clutches with increased distance between gear rims provide operation of planetary mechanism at different modes, including mode of operation with front axle disengaged. Operating capabilities of vehicle are improved owing to increase of number of possible modes of operation by one. Two driving modes provide increase of efficiency owing to disengagement of front axle drive. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 dwg
