FIELD: light engineering. SUBSTANCE: floodlight is used for illumination of open areas. Floodlight is multi-beam device which allows formation of n-number of beams from one source with simultaneous simplifying of construction. As a result, it provides for rigidity, reliability and thermomechanical strength of construction. Floodlight has reflector with mirror surface and light source positioned in mirror surface focus. Reflector with mirror surface consists of a number of sections obtained by splitting of mirror paraboloid by parallel planes in parallel with paraboloid axis. Every section of set is turned with respect to axis perpendicular to cross-section planes and passing through focal of paraboloid. In this case, number of sections determines number of directed beams of floodlight, and width of every section determines intensity of respective beam. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities. 2 dwg
