SUBSTANCE: invention relates to intermediate compound of cephalosporins of the formula (IA) given in description where either (1) Ra means hydrogen atom or silyl group; Rb means the group of the formula where Re means hydrogen atom or lower alkyl and Rc and Rd in common mean the bond; or (2) Rd and Ra mean hydrogen atom or silyl group and Rb and Rc in common mean imino-group of the formula =N-Y where Y means phenyl; or (3) Rd means hydrogen atom or silyl group; Ra means hydrogen atom if Rb means hydrogen atom; or Ra means hydrogen atom or silyl group if Rd means silyl group; and Rb and Rc in common mean oxo-group and silyl group means tri(lower)alkylsilyl group as free form or salt. Method of synthesis of cephalosporin of the formula (VI) given in description involves interaction of compound (IA) with compound (XI) or (XII) to obtain compound of the formula (XIII) that is desilylated.
