MIXER Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: mixers for preparation of molding sands. SUBSTANCE: mixer has cylindrical bowl with hole for air supply, plows, loosening members with drive for their rotation, exhaust branch pipe, mechanism for mixture loading and unloading, and water supply system. Mounted on end of reducing gear vertical output shaft passing through center of bowl is carrier with plows. Blades of loosening members are located above plows in several rows in vertical plane. Rotary drive is installed on posts and made with double-reduction gear whose two intermediate vertical shafts are located on bowl wall. Radially oriented blades are spaced uniformly on shaft over circumference in each row. Each plow has changeable interconnected cover plates with racks and fixing members. Plow is made with longitudinal hollow opened from ends for passing air and chamfer on plane rear in direction of carrier rotation and extending to low cavity and in direction of bowl wall. Water supply system has pipelines located inside plows in zone of air flow passage with possible getting of moisture onto entire surface of bowl bottom. EFFECT: reduced cycle of mixture conditioning to required mechanical properties without additional cooling equipment. 2 cl, 8 dwg
