METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CENTRIFUGAL WHEEL WITH BLADES Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of centrifugal wheel with blades. SUBSTANCE: method includes assembly of blank which consists of capsule accommodating spacers, filling of capsule with wheel material granules; sealing of capsule; hot isostatic pressing and removal of spacers. In assembly of blank, installed in capsule is embedded member of wheel material with configuration of side surface corresponding to the surface of trough of concealed flow-through channel of ready wheel; then spacers are installed in the form of segments whose ends are secured to divider, and the other ends, to capsule, to ensure the same distance between surfaces forming interblade space determined by ratio l₁ = (δ + 0.6):K, where l₁ is distance between segments, mm; δ is thickness of blade body of ready wheel, mm; K is shrinkage factor of granules perpendicular to segments; 0.6 is allowance for chemical milling, mm. In this case, segments are made with internal surface being congruent to side surface of embedded member and installed with clearance determined by ratio given in the invention description.
