SUBSTANCE: sintering machine has a charging device, travelling chain grate with edges and rods fastened by one end on a beam and arranged along the chain grate with a variable spacing. On the side of the edges at distance b=0.1-0.2 of width B of the chain grate spacing t₁ between the rods makes up 1.1 to 1.4 of spacing t between the rods in the zone enveloped by the above sections of the chain grate.
