FIELD: production of circular knitted articles. SUBSTANCE: circular warp knitting machine has fixed needle case made in the form of truncated cone and provided with recesses for receiving needles of different length, which are arranged in alternation in predetermined order, and mantle rotating around needle case and provided with knitting locks arranged at different levels, with number of levels being equal to number of needle positions in needle case. Knitting locks are offset in tiers for one angular needle pitch, and stretch of any knitting lock in angular needle pitches is equal to number of knitting needle positions in knitting machine. Mantle is made sectioned, and each tier may be turned relative to other tier. Tongue combs are made in the form of disks with tongue needles secured to disk outer edge and oriented along cone generatrix.
