WARP KNITTED FABRIC MANUFACTURE METHOD Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: production of knitted articles. SUBSTANCE: method involves knitting rows of circular loops by laying threads by means of thread guides; knitting these threads into loops by knitting needles; transmitting rotational motion to knitting needles and to needle cylinders and imparting working front motion along needle cylinder generatrix. Number of fixed thread guides exceeds total number of knitting needles by even number of times. Number of fixed thread guides with threads is twice the number of knitting needles. All threads are knitted into loops for several passes of needles. Number of guides with threads exceeds total number of knitting needles by number of times, corresponding to number of passes of needles. Warp knitted fabric is used for manufacture of tubes of small diameter employed in medicine and industry. EFFECT: increased form stability and longitudinal strength of knitted fabric, simplified method and wider range of products made from such fabric. 6 dwg
