FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: preparation of mixture for plasma spraying of retention coatings for dentures includes following operations: grinding to particle size 1-8 mcm, granulation in 2.5% polyvinyl alcohol solution, sponging through sieves with cell size 2 to 3-fold superior to required powder fineness, caking at 1000 to 1300 C, grinding, and sizing. Mixture is prepared in a manner to achieve coefficient of thermal expansion 0.85-0.9 that of monolith denture base material. EFFECT: enabled preparation of powders from cobalt- chromium and cobalt-nickel alloys and dental stainless steel with particle size 40-100 mcm to make coatings showing high adhesion strength. 2 cl
