FIELD: mechanical engineering; diesel engine fuel system devices. SUBSTANCE: cutoff hole is made additionally in plunger barrel. Shape of cutoff hole is rectangle turned relative to vertical axis through angle equal to angle of tilting of plunger cutoff edge. Fuel drain channel made in pump housing is connected with cutoff hole which provides increased efficiency of diesel engine operation owing to increase in initial pressure, decreased amount of fuel delivered into combustion chamber after commencement of cutoff, enhanced stability of cycle fuel delivery and uniformity of fuel delivery to cylinders which is provided, particularly, owing to stabilization of conditions of filling of above plunger space, especially when engine operates on light fuels, and minimum increment of volume of delivery fuel pipeline space. EFFECT: increased efficiency of operation of engine and fuel devices. 2 dwg
