PROCESS OF APPLICATION OF INSULATING TAPE MASTIC COAT ON PIPE- LINE AND PLANT FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: construction, laying and repair of pipe-lines. SUBSTANCE: plant for application of insulating tape, mastic coat on pipe-line includes insulating combine with mechanism clearing pipe-line. priming mechanism, winding machine, running mechanism, radiation source incorporating unit of IR radiators with parabolic reflectors and drive for its movement along pipe-line. Mastic layer is applied on to insulating tape, then this tape together with mastic layer is wound on protected pipe-line covered with layer of primer beforehand. After this insulating tape with mastic layer is irradiated with infrared radiation with wave length of 3-4 μm and density of radiation flux from 5.0 to 10.0 kW/sq.m. EFFECT: increased operational reliability of pipe-line thanks to improved anticorrosion protection of outer surface of pipe-line. 2 cl, 3 dwg
