FIELD: meteorology, in particular, methods for measuring parameters of atmospheric boundary layer. SUBSTANCE: method involves round azimuthal static radio- acoustic tilt sounding along axes with constant elevation angle. Width of beam pattern of acoustic emission is equal to angular azimuthal resolution, which is calculated according elevation angle as solution of new equation which takes into account wind profile in atmospheric boundary layer upon different atmosphere stratification. Parameters of acoustic sounding signals conform to given values of maximal sounding height, height resolution and temperature interval. Radio pulses are triangular. Edge duration provides coverage of maximal tile sounding distance. EFFECT: increased safety of aircraft take-off and landing. 3 dwg
