FIELD: meteorology. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to methods establishing parameters of boundary layer of atmosphere, it can be used to determine refractive index of atmosphere on surface route of passage of electromagnetic waves. In correspondence with way acoustic packet containing pulses with duration τs0 and repetition frequency Fs0 are emitted with τs0<1MFs0, packet is irradiated with electromagnetic pulses with duration τs0, in which spectrum there are frequencies mFs0, where m= 1, 2,...M. Frequency Fe0 is tied up with frequency Fs0 by relations λs = λe/2; Ce/Fe0, where Ce is velocity of light, λs = Cs/Fs0; is velocity of sound in air at temperature T lying in specified interval. Echo signals are received on frequencies close to mFa0, values of frequencies of Doppler shifts FD1, FD2 ..., Fdm for various ranges and phase difference of signals on various Doppler frequencies are measured. Humidity profile is determined by phase difference for entire sounding range. Altitude profile of temperature is found by frequencies of Doppler shifts with due account of values of humidity. Surface value of pressure is measured and altitude profile of air refractive index is computed. EFFECT: raised measurement accuracy. 2 dwg
