FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; treatment of metals with slag-forming mixtures beyond furnace. SUBSTANCE: method includes treatment of steel at tapping with furnace fluid slag and addition of deoxidizers. After treatment of steel, fluid slag is left in ladle in the amount of 2 to 4 % of weight of melt or transferred to another ladle. Then lime is added to slag in the amount of up to 0.5 kg per ton of steel and coke in the amount of 0.10 to 0.30 kg per ton of steel is added as deoxidizer. Slag is used for treatment of steel of next melt. EFFECT: reduced expenses for melting slag; reduced cost of steel; improved quality of steel.
