FIELD: firearm. SUBSTANCE: firearm has a magazine opening, carriage with a support, breechblock carrier and a balancing strip kinematically linked through a sprocket installed in the carriage for oppositely directed movement. The balancing strip has a stop chamfer engageable with the mating chamfer made in the front end of the carriage, and the carriage is installed in a support for cocking. Cocking is effected due to provision of diagonally opposite chamfers on the carriage, engageable with the carriage support, and diagonally opposite recesses of the breechblock carrier and balancing rack engageable with the end surface of the carriage. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of firearm operation due to prevented jumping back of the breechblock carrier and balancing rack in the front position of impact. 2 cl, 3 dwg
