FIELD: chromatographic methods for preparative separation of substances. SUBSTANCE: device has three chromatographic columns communicating through transfer ducts accommodating switch-over members and additional ducts also accommodating switch-over members which are communicating with separated mixture source, elutriating agent flow, and with set of fraction accumulators; each column has heat insulating layer, external shell, external porous partition divided into sections with intermediate porous partitions of sorption layers, internal porous partition, and internal shell all made in the form of similar curvilinear surfaces enclosed in space; clearance is provided between external porous partition and external shell; elutriating agent is introduced together with substance to be separated into mentioned clearance through several ducts; separated mixture and elutriating agent outlet duct communicates through one or more ducts with mentioned clearance; chamber between heat insulating layer and external shell as well as chamber formed by internal shell and additional ducts accommodating controlled switch-over members communicate with source of heating and cooling agents.
