FIELD: storage tanks holding uranium- containing pulps at concentrating mills. SUBSTANCE: set of structures includes several ponds arranged at same or different levels, surrounded by dikes, and provided with grouting layers. Novelty is that set has at least two ponds one being sediment pond and other, self-cleaning pond, with grouting curtain in-between in the form of trench filled with diatomite or zeolite mixed up with high-moor peat. Proportion of mixture components is 1:1. Sediment pond is, essentially, pit with multilayer insulation whose bottom is covered with polyethylene film or hydromica clay, then with quartz sand, and coarse-grain polymictic sand overall. Self-cleaning pond is, essentially, pit provided with multilayer insulation whose bottom is covered with layer of sand-and-gravel mixture, then with ash mixed up with red mud, anhydride layer, and diatomite or zeolite layer overall; there are chara shells at bottom and algal plankton or duckweed on surface. EFFECT: improved effectiveness of preventing pollution of environment with uranium. 4 cl, 1 dwg
